Allan Abbass, one of the world’s leading researchers, practitioners, and teachers of Habib Davanloo’s Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) will be in Boston on 6-7 April 2016. His all-day workshop on Wednesday, April 6 is full (although we’re working with the hotel to see whether there’s a way to squeeze folks in off the waiting list).
In addition, Allan will be giving two talks at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency Training Program on Thursday, April 7th. Both talks are free and are open to area therapists and other licensed health professionals.
From noon to 1pm, he will be delivering the Longwood Program’s Psychiatry Grand Rounds, entitled “Unlocking the Unconscious: Theoretical and Empirical Basis with Videotape Demonstration.” Grand Rounds are held in the Leventhal Conference Room, on the 2nd floor of the Shapiro Clinical Center in the East Campus of Harvard’s Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).
From 2-4:30, he will speak on “Direct Detection of Emotional Factors in Somatic Presentations: Palpating the Limbic System,” which will also include video examples. The talk will take place in the Sherman Auditorium, Room 101 on the first floor of the Sherman Building, also in BIDMC’s East Campus.
We hope to see you there!
